Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally, with about one in six deaths linked to the dreaded disease.

It can occur at any age and if not detected at the right time and is not treated, it can increase the risk of death. Hence, to raise the awareness of cancer and encourage its prevention World Cancer Day is observed annually on February 4 as an international event. The theme for World Cancer Day 2020 is “I Am and I Will,” to acknowledge that everyone has the capacity to act in the face of cancer.
The World Health Organisation says that one third of cancer-related are due to the five leading behavioural and dietary risks: high body mass index, low fruit and vegetable intake, lack of physical activity, tobacco use, and alcohol use.
