Doctors put the odds of having quadruplets at
about one in 15 million — which makes Mr. and Mrs F.A very special. The couple
from Osun State, Nigeria, welcomed a spontaneous set on March 14.
Oluwatosin, Miracle, Oluwaferanmi and Ayomide were
delivered by caesarean section at 35 weeks and 2 days. The smallest was
Miracle, who weighed in at 1.55 KG, while Oluwatosin, the largest, was born at
2.4KG.
Miracle is tiny but mighty.
She was a known IVF Patient at Grabbo Fertility
Clinic Gwarimpa who presented in May 2019 with a 13years history of inability
to conceive. She has had several attempts at IVF and visited other fertility
centers but to no avail.
Mrs F.A 45, got the surprise of her live when she
learned at her eight-week ultrasound appointment that she was expecting
quadruplets.
“I was scared of having so many babies inside of
me,” she admitted. The stay-at-home mom also knew that higher order multiples
can be very high-risk.
“There were times where I would Google and stress
myself out, but Dr. Onoja would talk me down,” she explained. “She would say,
‘Everything is going to work out.’”
F.A had uneventful pregnancy and delivery and the
babies were delivered without any complications. All Glory to God
Mr and Mrs F.A were discharged at exactly 5days
after delivery.
Grabbo Fertility Clinic is now known as the
Fertility Centre with the highest success rate in Nigeria.
